We make sure the most innovative, impactful new health technology makes it into the NHS. But, to make that happen, healthtech companies need to comply with the Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC).
That’s where we come in.
Our team of specialised information governance, data protection, clinical safety and cyber security experts, work closely with Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) to support digital health technology companies to take their products and services to market.
DTAC is a regulatory standard required by NHS England. It provides a framework to ensure that all health technology products and services used within the NHS and social care conform to the highest standards of quality and safety.
How we help?
Suppliers to the NHS and social care will be asked to prove they are ‘DTAC ready’ or DTAC compliant. Without DTAC, these healthtech companies cannot move forward or win contracts.
It’s our job to make sure they don’t get caught out. Our free webinars provide all the information health-tech companies will need to understand how to become DTAC compliant.
During the free one-hour webinar, our team of specialists will explain the obligations under each of the five DTAC standards; data protection, clinical safety, technical security, interoperability, and usability & accessibility. This involves a series of product and organisational compliance standards that must be met to win NHS and social care contracts.

For companies that need further support, we’ll take them through the journey to DTAC compliance. Our team will carry out a free DTAC assessment to understand their current level of compliance and assess any gaps in their evidence or documentation.
Where additional support is needed, we’ll provide a competitive proposal that also outlines any budget considerations for future NHS annual assessments.
Our team of former NHS professionals are regarded as the industry experts in DTAC compliance so digital healthtech companies can feel assured we’ll give them the best chance of succeeding. But what’s more, Academic Health Science Networks can benefit from our referral fee for all successful new contracts.
We’re already successfully working with the Eastern and Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS) AHSN’s, and we’re ready to do the same for you, and your healthtech partners.
Companies that we support benefit from free access to our DTAC Portal. The Portal allows healthtech companies to easily share their compliance status, as well as the latest versions of evidence and supporting documentation with NHS and social care organisations. This streamlines the entire process as well as providing ongoing assurance. Companies can also benefit from the assurance badges we provide to help win further contracts.
