Here at 8foldGovernance, we believe in businesses being about more than just profit and we endeavour to be a source for social good by giving back.

The Christmas season feels like a good time of year to take stock and reflect on what has been achieved in the past year. For our team we have spent time looking at branding and updating our website. I have always been a little cynical about the importance of branding but the real gold in the process has come from working with a team who forced us to think about who we are and what we are about as a company.  The result has been a new look website but more importantly, a deeper understanding of the change that we want to see from the utilisation of health technology and the key role we have as a business in making that happen.

Our last website was an attempt to look like a more established business that perhaps we were when we started. Our new site truly reflects who we are as a group of people, and the quality and passion we have for our services and our confidence in delivering these (we were also pleasantly surprised to find our net promoter score was 83 amongst our clients).

Intentions for 2023; Giving Back

We have partnered with B1G1 and set our intentions for 2023 to establish regular and sustainable giving to worthwhile causes for the company, including the charities and nonprofits that we work with. We are going to achieve this by giving some of our time pro-bono to companies that support social good who need our support and as a result, sharing profits with causes via B1G1. Our hope is that by conducting business in this way, we achieve a number of goals:

• Support worthwhile causes that benefit the world and make it a better place
• Motivate ourselves and other business to be a force for good in the world
• Attract like minded businesses to our services 
• Work closely with businesses like B1G1 to support the movement 
• Remind ourselves that responsible capitalism is possible in a rather cynical period of history and government.
