Adam Spinks leads the board of directors and guides the company’s long-term strategic vision as Executive Chair. Since co-founding 8foldGovernance in 2018, he has guided the company's steady growth while bringing an extensive background in corporate governance, data protection law, and information security. With a professional foundation that merges law and IT, built within the complex regulatory landscapes of the NHS, private healthcare, and digital health sectors, Adam specialises in navigating intricate compliance frameworks and has long been a trusted advisor across the industry. His practical understanding of corporate alignment and risk management ensures he is well equipped to steer the business and drive forward growth.
Outside of the boardroom, Adam is a lover of the great outdoors. You’ll often find him exploring the UK in his VW campervan looking for the next mountain to climb or stream to cross. On top of this, he’s been volunteering with the Scout Association as an Explorer Scout Leader for over 15 years, supporting young people to learn skills for life. Adam also enjoys playing the guitar, although we hear this enjoyment isn’t always shared by those who have to listen to him!
